Mattapan CDC is working on a number of affordable housing projects as part of our mission to increase access to affordable housing in our community.

+ Mattapan Housing Initiative Neighborhood Stabilization Plan: Working with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, the City of Boston's Department of Neighborhood Development, and private developers, Mattapan CDC is working to stabilize our community through the purchase and redevelopment of foreclosed and abandoned homes.  Through this program, Mattapan CDC will turn blighted residential properties into affordable and livable homes, increasing the quality of life for all residents in the affected neighborhood.

+ Morton Street Homes: Morton Street Homes will be a mixed-use development at 757-769 Morton Street, a short walk from the Fairmount commuter line.  The project will include 48 units of new affordable housing, 6,000 square feet of commercial space, and 28 off-street parking spaces.  Filling in a vacant lot on Morton Street, this development will be a beautiful addition to the urban streetscape and will be Silver Certified by the LEED Green Building Rating System.
