Mattapan CDC along with some
of Massachusetts’ elected officials,
Mattapan residents, supporters
and well wishers of the CDC,
celebrated in October its 2nd
Annual Gateway to Boston Gala at
the Milton Hoosic Club.
The keynote address was delivered
by Dr. Keith Motley, University
of Massachusetts Boston Chancellor.
The apex of the evening was
the honoring of Reggie Nunnally,
Interim Director for External
Affairs for the Department
of Neighborhood Development,
with the Lifetime Achievement
Award.
Other honorees included Hillario
Arthurton, recipient of the Future
Leader of America Student
2007 Award; Boston Police Department
Area B-3 District’s Captain
James M. Claiborne, Sergeant
Timothy J. Torigian, and community
service officers Rita Pitts,
Janine Busby and Patrice Bennett;
Dr. Azzie Young, CEO of the
Mattapan Community Health Center;
Kennietha Jones, Principal
of the Mildred Avenue Middle
